I love this image! Even if the color version had worked out, I think the black-and-white image is much more effective, especially with the contrast between shadow and light on the road.
Looks like a very fun road to drive. Pictorially, it's a little on the flat side. There's some burning-in at the top center, looks like, and that should have continued down some. And there's a patch of dark foliage immediately to the left that gives some lower tonal range, but I don't see it anywhere else. Maybe use paper that's one grade higher.
