Byodo-In Temple at "Valley of the Temples" Oahu, Hawaii. This temple was briefly seen in the movie, "Pearl Harbor." I had to wait several minutes to take the picture free of other people.
THis is a marvelous subject and I love the colors. Your patience paid off in waiting for the other visitors to clear out.
Personally, I find the trees to be a distraction. I guess this was a vacation trip for you, so taking it again might not be feasible. Have you considered cropping this in half, placing the emphasis on just the near wing of the temple? My other nitpick (and they're all nitpicks cuz they're from me) is that there's a 'lean' in the temple. In photoshop, I would recommend rotation enough to make the columns of the temple vertical. If you're open to it, I can play with it in photoshop to show what I mean. I'll check back here for your reply.
As a side note - you probably notice the bright sky. In the background you'll see mountains. The sky was bright because of the overcast/mist rolling over the mountains. Thanks for your comments!
