I think the arrangement of lines and shapes in this photo make it quite interesting. Can't decide if I'd like it better with more DOF or not...hmm...Either way, I think it is frameable.

I think the image is quite interesting because of the lines, mostly verticals and the round darker shapes which seem to detach themselves from the rest and come forward - and because of the clear negative shapes. It is difficult to see on a small scan like this, but I think the image is visually interesting. It remains a picture of "ugly plants", but that does not mean you can not get interesting images out of it - certainly not if you try to look at them as patterns of positive and negative shapes with different textures and tonal values. Try looking at these qualities of shapes instead of the plants themselves. If this makes any sense, that is :)
