Gee, I rated the third of this series earlier without seeing the other two. I like this one the best. Great clarity and colors. I, too, would leave the fern as Deb said. It's part of the reality of the scene - not distracting at all (IMO).  )

Exposure and lighting, as well as focus, are dead-on. If I'd wish for anything, it'd be slightly less DOF to truly bring focus on the bird. Excellent work.

Good composition, good color - and a fantastic scene. I don't personally mind the fern over his wing; it gives the photo depth, imho. Well done!

Well it's a nice upload of one. I can live with one a day it's the commments that are limited that I don't like. I haven't as yet run to a full amount but I don't go viewing as many images either. That's what I like to do is see a lot of other people work I just limit that now. Excellent image Bill like this shot a lot.

This truly is a eye catching image. The bird looks almost fake with all that color going on especially in it's legs. With it's color against the green background it really makes it stand out even more. This reminds me of one of those wall hangings.

this is a wonderful shot...you must have been thrilled to get this with all his color and such a good pose...I love the background and the ferns, I might be tempted to clone out that ine fern across his wing, though...good color and a great composition
