About Tiny little flowers of the plumbago with tender blue colors. The whole plant is beautiful, but when you take a closer look you discover so much more. Some people say: "flowersubjects are boring and so common", well I don't agree with that. I could be.... yes... but use your eyes and discover the interesting shapes, lines and colors, all made by nature itselves. I didn't need any editing on this photo, just cropping a little to find the right composition. Enjoy and comment if you like, suggestions are welcome!

Diana, you gave me one of my first comments here for which I thank you,it has taken me a few days to work out the protocols of the site (not obligations though I know) so:
Well how to pick a photo out of that folder! You hardly need another comment or rating, but you deserve one. I love the simplicity of this, the pastel colour, and the texture being almost like rice paper. A soothing image.

Masterfully composed. I tend to agree with people that flower shots are boring. You seem to disagree and even better, you show that they indeed can be interesting. Not from a florist point of view, but from a compository angle. Quite a nice image. Technically it would've been impossible but some more sharpness would've been excellent. I mean, more dof and less bokeh. Anyway, an excellent achievement.
(i tend to keep my comments in english for others to enjoy as well. no offense intended)

Diana, this is really beautiful - I hadn't noticed it before, maybe because the thumbnail doesn't do it justice! So much detail in these little flowers that goes unseen - I have several plumbago bushes, both blue and white, and had never really looked at them this closely to see the intricacies. Very nicely done! (I usually come back from gardening with these stuck all over me, too - sticky little suckers! :)

Exquisitely rendered with a sharpness that is not too oversharp, thereby conveying the soft delicateness of the petals. Lovely tones. Simply wonderful.

This is what a macro supposed to be. Show us the things we can't see by our own eyes, just with macro we can see a lot more. Great sharpness and beautiful colours. Well done Diana.

Perfect sharpness and good lightning. How could this be boring? I will look at a different way at this plant now. I know the fragile little flowers, only blooming for one day.

Hello Mary,
I didn't use any flash on this photo , it is just natural daylight, but not in the full sun. There was also no need of editing, it was just perfect as it was in my opinion. Thanks for the comments everyone!

The blue is so beautiful! I am surprised about the sharpness! One can see the texture of the petals, almost in relief. I know this flower, very delicate with a very tender babyblue color, you have managed to catch that special color so well.

Diana,

You know that I am not opposed to a creative floral!! This is lovely and the comp. is excellent. I could deconstruct the comp for you but I don't think it is necessary. I am curious, was the flash used at all, there are a few places where the highlights seem over-bright.

BTW you must see this your photo came in next to this in my friends folder. You might find it interesting.

Yes flowers can be boring. They are way overdone and usually of the static forensic nature. But occasionally one comes along such as this where the photographer has interpreted the shot and through tone, dof, composition, etc. done something interesting. Well done. Very well done.

Very original approach to an ordinary but always welcome theme.
I liked the upper and intimate composition exploring the delicad texture of the flower. Beautiful shot, Diana.
