Dear Nanda,
first of all, I reffered to the comment I made on one of the photographers photos, on this web site. If you had read it, you would have known what I'm talking about.
Second of all, I don't quite see how I humiliated Srna? Was it by kindly asking her? Or was it by complimenting her work?
Third of all, I don't really see how this is any of your business? Your name was not mentioned once in the discussion. And with all due respect, I don't think you should get involved.
So, anyway, I wish you luck with your photos in the future, and please don't spend too much time digging and searching for my comment which caused a smaller disagreement between me and Srna (since you obviously have no other worries, but to read other people's comments) - it's not worth it.

You surely may Lidija and I m so sorry you feel this way ... I had no idea that quoting your words would make you feel I took a part of you and put it in the wrong place ... my sincere apologize, it was not my intention to heart your feelings so badly, honestly if someone else took my words I would be really flattered and I would not pretend as you did on the first side of your conversation with me. And Lidija, these words might have been anyone's cause a little child knows that maybe perfection lies in imperfection. Me, just like you did, heard these words a billion times at least, and this is why I gave myself a liberty to use "your words" in my conversation here.
My sincere apologize once again for hear-ting your feelings so deeply, this was not even in my subconscious at all.
Do not worry, be happy and this will not happen again, I should keep this on my mind for the future and I really do not want to be rude either, trust me.

I really appreciate it, but still, can I please kindly ask you, if you use my words, to write where they come from, to say that I wrote them?
I don't mean to be rude or anything, it's just that I feel as if you took a part of me and put it in the wrong place.
I am flattered though that you liked them, as well as you do my photography!
I actually quite often stop by to look at your photographs, there is something about them I can't quite explain - they provoke a feeling of loss, yearning, sadness and loneliness - very strong emotions, very effective and powerful!
Photography is sometimes very difficult medium to express what the photographer felt at a time he or she took the photo, and I think you do it in the best possible way.

i really do believe you as i always have and you know that ... i have always accepted your honest and constructive suggestions, comments, critiques and visions my dear jd,
just thought i might be creative as much as i am able in growth of my humble personal style showing who am i through all kind of "techniques", experiments and by following my heart and mind and of course other's honest and captivating opinions like yours always have been to me :)
is it so important if this emotion evoking portrait/story of mine, in this kind of project, is overdone or not ?! :)
some will like it, some will not, but that is just who am i, sometime subtle, sometime in a mood for a bit more stronger creations :)
i do highly respect you and opinions of other's and i have never took high praises too seriously and you should found out this till now my dear jd :)

I'm a little hesitant to get involved in this conversation between you and txules. But, I'm going to express my opinion anyway, for what it is worth.
My advice to you is to pay more attention to what txules says and less to most of the high praises recieved from most of the others.
It is always better to listen to some thoughtful, honest criticizm. Don't take high praise too seriously.
If you want to see what really excellent emotion evoking images look like, just do a google image search for Richard Avedon images.
Study his images (a lot of which are a very subtle)
I am also of the opinion that this image is very much overdone.

Re looking at this beautiful photo and reading the comments, I think the points and complete story in expression of the eye, which simply emerges from the blur. All this gives the photo a special power and expressiveness..

let me follow this epistolary friendship: technics are just technics and even if there are some rules they can and must be broken in any moment, of course you can do whatever you want in order to tell a story, if you feel that's the best way, go on
but...it's not a question of being romantic, it's just a question if the picture as a whole works or not; not for me in this case: I can not get through the clear eye and my view wanders around the blurred area, it gives me a sense of some kind of dizziness too.
what is very surprising to me, and repeat it, I'm the only one to feel that. I can appreciate very fast the beauty (in a general sense) when I see it, and the model is not the problem for sure :)
I wonder why most of the critics are just positive (apart of time limitations); Do you have an answer?

let me explain: first i will send you one other photo and in both cases i just used soft focus and i know perfectly well what do you mean by simulating a beautiful bokeh ... just was in a mood for this one to be a bit more visible and i wanted the focus to be on the eye and you know how much open mined am i too ... just in different state of minds i do project the way of my states, emotions in different ways ... blur is here too evident cause i wanted it to be cause the story is too strong and emotional and i wanted to emphasize it by this evidential blur effect, maybe I m wrong ... who knows ?!
however, you are too romantic my friend and i do love you this way ;-)

let me explain it: if you want to simulate a beautiful bokeh subtleness is the key, differential blur is too evident; however in other pictures an aggressive postwork can be fine, why not
