W tym Białymstoku mieszkaja sami sympatyczni ludzie. Nasz pracownik z Białegostoku poprosił mnie nieśmiało o pozwolenie na wydrukowanie i powieszeie w swoim domu kilku moich zdjęć.

Beautiful and magical reflection.
You have seen and captured this scene very well dear Teresa.
Fine colours and patterns of this magnificent black swan in a balanced composition without any distraction. Great composition also in its details of dual rocks, splash and tiny feather and of course the title as (self) reflection.
I need to explain why I am touched by your image:
Please if you could read the translation of the book of Hella S. Haasse : "Zwanen schieten" (Shooting Swans) appeared in 1997: It is an ingenious cocktail of an essay on writing and imagination, an autobiographical sketch and fiction. I am not sure it had been translated from Dutch.
I have read the book while travelling through Australia in 1999. Several occasions mentioned in the book as linked to The Netherlands and Australia happened to me as well with great coincidence and similarity. Later on I found a very interesting book published in 2007 which I have read this year 2009. It is about the impact of the highly improbable and the random events that underlie our lives. Written by Nassim Nicholas Taleb, the book should be of interest to you gifted with a fantastic photographic eye and is called "The Black Swan" It also gives good insight in predicting power and taking advantage of uncertainty like : "Am I so Ugly"
