Oh, of course. Computers are connected to almost everything we do today. Even mathematics. And I don't mean merely number crunching. Have you seen Sage? ( http://www.sagemath.org/doc/ )
But even with Sage, the computer is only a good utility that helps. The mathematics are done in mind. This goes also for photography, and anything else.
Except of course if the computer is a Mac. A Mac is no computer. A Mac is a friend! ;-)

En cierto, la fotografía es mucho más, no hay dudas, pero es cierto también, que cada vez más los monitores de nuestras PC son el marco de nuestras fotos...:-)

Por mi parte, yo me acerqué a la fotografía a través de la tecnología informática (IT, siglas en ingles), antes de eso la fotografía no me había interesado nunca. Tuve el privilegio de ser gerente de sistemas de un diario y eso me puso en contacto con la gráfica. Nací a la fotografía como fotógrafo digital y eso sin dudas ha marcado mi forma de verla y entenderla... ;-)

The computer graphics attitude is indeed present many times in your images, Gustavo. Many times there is a combination of elements and geometry and most of the time in the plane of the image.
I also had much to do with computers since the late 80s before I started photographing too some years ago. I don't know if that can be thought as some kind of "heritage". There are common elements between the two things but they do have their own identity.

Very good details of the materials and their textures, Gustavo. Perhaps a bit of overexposure on some regions, which nonetheless raises tension and contrast. The nice color palette agrees with the simplicity of the composition too. It looks tight and consistent this way. The background at the top right adds some depth accents, but I don't know if this one needs that.

Gracias querido amigo!, la verdad es que aunque soy ingeniero civil especializado en hidráulica, he tenido mucha vinculación con medios gráficos, entre otras cosas soy gerente de sistemas de un diario. Ahora todo es informático, pero me tocó implementar la tecnología en los tiempos de cambio, tuve que ser de los primeros en aprender a usar estos softwares para capacitar a los demás, por eso llevo muchos años conociendo estas herramientas incluso cuando aún no habían evolucionado tanto y no eran para nada fáciles de usar. A decir verdad yo conocí el photoshop mucho antes incluso que a la propia fotografía!...la cámara y las fotos llegaron para mí, mucho después!
