There is so much detail and variance in this. In every section, there is something to enjoy. Having it not in colour makes us concentrate on the details. Superb image. MAry

BWA HAHAHAHahahahaaaa!
Ok Doug....( *snicker* )....I get it now. You like your photo! Well GOOD for you! Incidentally...cigars are bad for your health. You should probably cut back...on whatever you're smoking! This is now two images of mine out of two where you have dropped an advertisement directing people to your own work and, honestly, I'm not altogether that impressed with what you're showing me. I DO understand YOU are impressed with it and less so with my work. Got it.
Way too much Sepia? I'll take it under advisement. :)
A typo in the title? Good point...I'll edit it. Thanks.
"...but perhaps Anyla is your Secretary and caused the typo having not corrected you..."
Dude. Seriously...are you ok?
"...although stingRay Part2 tried in the second word of his critique! :)) "
You think so? Wow. Not to name drop but Ray and I have been very good friends for years...he pretty much could have pointed it out if he wished, publicly or privately.
Also...I have and I took IR photos here. Your "Courtesy Rework" is not an IR photo but a PS version designed to simulate IR. I also find it somewhat softer than needed as far as focal clarity.

Getting close Doyle but still no cigar compared to:
http://www.usefilm.com/image/1453899.html
because while the Sepia finish is a nice touch there is way too much and burnt out ('Weeping Willow' ???) and an extra 's' in the title at the end, but perhaps Anyla is your Secretary and caused the typo having not corrected you although stingRay Part2 tried in the second word of his critique! :))
Anyway ... Attached is the IR that a couple of people wanted.
Best of Regards!

Very different from the Chinese garden, but at the same time similar in many ways. Once again, the composition is faultless.

Yes...I have the filter. I brought it with me too. I used it too. NOT here though. Hindsight is proving to be the usual 20/20....(Incidentally, the D200 will not take IR shots at all.) Luckily, I have a Nikon D50 that still will!
How ya' been my friend?

Gorgeous scene. Can't help thinking this would look totally wild in IR. Have you got a filter? If you do, go back and try it again from this spot. I can almost guarantee the results will blow us away.

Hi Doyle - well it was called 'China Garden' but it looked a bit simular - in my mind anyway - now that I actually look at it - not so much - Still I like this image very much :))

Hi Doyle I like this tone- for some reason it adds more depth to the image and you know how I love color the best - Nice light and shadow- well composed and excellent detail - I really like this image much better than the color version

This Japanese bridge sits well with these excellent sepia tones my dear friend. It is indeed a most beautiful setting and chosen a great perspective to 'lay out' your composition. The details are great and I love the gentle hints of reflections in the water. Nice work my dear friend. I do so hope that you and Marnie are keeping well and I am so sure that you are both the same fabulously happy couple like my darling wife and I. Take care Doyle all the very best to you both......Ray
