Love the baby expression... I think the lighting can be improved to give more dramatic effect. such as side light or something like that.

beatiful image but:
* the babyface is blur (or out the focus)
* the hair of the mom in right side is mix with the background.

A reasonable portrait but a little on the flat side. The skin tone on my monitor looks too grey.
May I suggest (if you have photoshop) go to Image/Adjustment/Highlight & Shadow, move the highlight bar to the right, this should give you a reasonable tonal scale. Further tonal adjustment should then be done with the curve command.

Thanks so much Gary! It was recommended to me to use a white background on darker skinned people, but I think I prefer the darker background personally. Thanks again.

It's a beautiful image, well composed. The baby's face is a tad too soft for my taste, I prefer the sharpness in your image 'Babyface', but of course, some like a bit of softness in a portrait, especially of this type. Again, a good range of tones and I really like the way you've used the black background to isolate the subjects.
