Hello Kim, This really is a beauty. Composition and lightning are very good and it is an original capture! Maybe the sharpness could be better but I think this looks like a piece of art. What I like the most is how the colors of the subject are coming back in the background, just wonderful!

Living in California it's nice to see a flower in ice. I like the idea and it could be in my opinion stronger if the backround were darker making the flower standout more. I think it would appear sharper also. It's not difficult to darken a backround in PS. I do it often in my flower photos. Thanks for your comments on my work.

It is rather grainy, as George says, but sharpness looks fine to me, at least on the main subject. I think that the petals might be better if there was a little more detail in the color. I don't find the picture particularly attractive, though. I am not sure why, maybe the colors are not vibrant enough for my taste or maybe the flower doesn't stand out enough against the white patch. I hope you don't mind me writing so ! Bye,Luca

I like this one better than the last, but it still could use some added sharpness. I do like the way you have used selctive focus and DOF to separate the subject from the background. Colors are great. Seems to have a little scan noise in this one.
