I am not botanic too and it reminded me on some sort of Portulaca Grandiflora as I saw it last weekend on Kopaonik looking at me from this wall ... do you maybe know what flower it is ? :-)

The Portulaca Grandiflora has certainly to compete with other species, for instance with the flower of your excellent picture ? I'm not a botanist but are you sure that the flower you describe is just existing or is it really shown on this picture?
I am however glad that protective walls were constructed for not breaking too many hearts and that the walls do not need to be broken by lovely flowers as we should prefer to be generous with the keys of its gates.

Beautiful colors Srna. Its very difficult to handle such bright colors. You did that pretty well. Like the all round border. Only thing I is maybe you could use a lighter color for the border. Like a lighter shade of purple rather than the exact flower color. That way there will be some contrast. I think this is ready to be put on a frame and in the wall.

Last year I planted portulaca and it was just gorgeous. This year, wanting to try other things, I didn't plant any. I haven't decided if I will plant it again next year - I might - simply because it guarantees you a ton of flowers and flowers make me happy! You don't even have to water it that much...;) hug,riny
