Can we have a minimalist life? The photograph minimalist known for extreme simplicity, the simple creation of contrasts as bright-mate, soft-rough, opaque-transparent, and thick-thin, finding the essentials, lack of visual pollution, harmony, etc.. The creators minimalist reduced to a minimum elements of art and try to condense few elements in their thoughts and artistic principles.
Is it possible to follow a minimalist lifestyle? Undoubtedly, I would. I would like to dispense with everything and stay only with the very necessary. At the moment I'm going to settle for taking pictures minimalist, simple, reductionist like this work in which only exist: a bird, an island of black, some lines that somehow determine an end and a blank space that symbolizes the empty , Where dive my mind and I meet your gaze.

The minimalism is characterized by extreme simplicity of its forms, pure lines, clear spaces and neutral colors, in an environment with balance and harmony.

First and foremost is the privilege ample spaces, preferably high, and free. A harmonious environment functional, outside the concept of excess, congestion and visual pollution. It also avoids the cacophony, repetition and redundancy any visual. One might consider a "antibarroquismo" aesthetic. Everything should be smooth, calm and order, nothing superfluous and Baroque elements, nor estridencias excesses, often unrelated to the outside world. Sobriety without ornamentation.
One of its main features Minimalism is the use of pure colors, with monochrome surfaces or funds, dominate the soft tones of white and raw. It also incorporates the toasted or black with subtle touches of color to accentuate details and accessories. When we think of white need to know, without forgetting that the white is a color with a wide range of tonal variations can increase the brightness.

The minimalism comes at the end of the 60's in New York, but its origins are rooted in Europe, the first ideas of the German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, one of the most important architects of this century.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe develops his ideas about the purity of forms (precursor of minimalism) during his tenure in the direction of the School of Art and Design From Bauhaus in Germany in the late 30. Shortly afterwards, and because the process of the Second World War, emigrated to the United States, where it was known as an influential architect and designer, and nationalizes U.S..

Entered the 60 participates in New York from minimal art movement and geometric in the visual arts. Although it was not the only one who intervened, his version of rationalism and functionalism later, have become models for other professionals in their century. Their influence could be summed up in one sentence handed down and that he himself has become the motto of the avant-garde architecture of the first half of the twentieth century: "Less is more."

Saludos,

Alejandro.
