I like the sort of triple leading line effect of the logs into the clear water. It's nice the way the water seamlessly blends with the sand. I would have been tempted to move the skinny little sticks from the scene. They are a bit distracting. Maybe thats a bit manipulative to move them, but, I think the image would be even stronger without them.
Great colour and perfect exposure.

Great shot Joe- love the vertical crop for this image - it works well getting much more depth - the clouds add a fine touch as well !

Hi Joe,
I get a nice nostalgic feeling for this instantly recognizable area when viewing this one. Our family has owned a cottage on the Madawaska River since 1962.
