LOL Larry... I wasn't sure about buying the Canon as really prefer the Nikon glass by far, but who knows... Our son has Canon and seems pleased with it plus the images are excellent...:)
It's a bit like *How do you know you don't like brussel sprouts unless you try them* ~~GRIN~~...
and I'd miss talking to you Larry...:)))

Was after either the Nikon D80 or D40 x 10.2 meg Larry... Our camera store here doesn't carry SLR's (anymore that is, they sold out to a sportstore and who then downsized their stock) so rang to our nearest larger city... Said yes, had one in stock and would save it for me... Drove over that afernoon, and turns out they could order it and would take a few days... GRRR!!! That was it... They had lost me as a customer... Went elsewhere, couldn't get the prefered Nikon but ended up with a Canon 400D EOS... Getting the feel of it slowly... ~~GRIN~~ Practised on that little visitor Gene...

~~GRIN~~ Liz... Thanks heaps... Funnily enough, it's rather nice to have been missed... Have missed you also, although on Beks advice, I did have a quick peek at a pair of legs lounging seductively... Excellent for the project clever lady... Would you believe I had been taking a few shots of shoes etc (no legs included though LOL)...
My heart died when I saw that the camera had died... and most definately will not be doing a repeat...

The poor Nikon, I honestly felt sick inside... It has been a great camera and will miss that *sweet spot* that would appear like magic...

Cooked is exactly that... My brain was still in the bottom of a box somewhere... and you are soooo right... The move has worn us out completely, only now just starting to feel close to normal LOL... but then, just what is normal!!!
~~GRIN~~ Glad you liked the *cooked* image... I certainly will NOT be trying this recipe again LOL...

Hi Onie !!!! Sooooo happy You are back and I am also sorry to hear if your camera is dying ? I love this abstract - but the name kind of leads me to believe it's life could be cooked out of it (?))))
I for one of many have missed You so very much :)))
So happy you will be back as you can be --moving is a VER BIG DEAL----both emotionally and physically !!!!!

~~GRIN~~ Robin... I was truly beside myself for being so stupid... but, these things happen and can't change the outcome... It was such a great camera and really will miss it... The cost of getting it fixed would far outway it's replacement value... The up-grade just came earlier than expected...
The move has been wonderful but tiring, as most moves are, but now this is ours, and we will be here until time catches up with us... LOL, Hopefully not too soon, I'd like to be a lot greyer and toothless when that happens...:)
