About As fog moves in after sunset, a tributary to Tomales Bay takes on an eerie feel.

I don't get to see fog and water much. :)

Thanks, Roger. I haven't thought about b&w on this but I'll give it a go... I liked the subtle colors, so don't know about converting it.

Bset wishes,
Dave

Thanks, Gayle... never expected this scene to come out as I shot it handheld. But I knew what I wanted from it and was surprised to see it worked.

Thanks, Don. But I must say, had there been a nude coming out of the water, the picture would not have gotten taken... LOL

Thanks, Riny... I never figured anybody would like this one... but I am always wrong about that. Seems my photos that I doubt end up being rated high while the ones I really like get absolutely nothing... shows you how much I know.

Oh Dave...

Beautiful and melancholic feel to this most wonderous painterly image in subdued limited palette. Shades of many painters come to mind... impressionists mainly. And having said that, this image has made a huge impression on me.

"And the Lady of Shallot (Elaine) begins her journey across the lake, knowing the mists will obscure her way... she doesn't mind anymore... she has no choice... she is willing to die, and indeed she does... she drowns, washed up on the shores of Camelot, which is where she was headed in order to bring her cheating husband Lancelot home... He merely remarks: Even in death she is beautiful..."

Or something like that... an Authorian legend. Or a version of part thereof.

This is what your image brings to mind Dave, and as a melancholic romantic and something of a bit of an "artistic" moody person, I love it...

And I Love You...
Hugs~
Ani :)

Hi Dave... well I have to agree with the other comments. This photo just draws one in, making one want to find out what's around the bend in the bay/creek. Very nice moody image and well presented as usual! Cheers, Gary

Sure nice pastel colors. All you lacked was a nude coming up out of the water. Don.
