You did a great job of focussing,it's sharp right back thru lip,nose and eyes,did you use a tripod?Whatever,it's a great shot of a beautiful dog.

outstanding detail...can see texture in the tongue. beautiful eyes and wonderful capture of the individual hairs. Great shot and wonderful title. can really see the Passion in those eyes.

I think the combination of the lovely warm light and his expression really make the picture. The background is pleasingly blurred - I noticed you used a really long lens - I'm surprised he could see you from that distance!

Thankyou, guys. This was a bit of a fluke but I am happy with it. You wouldn't usually use this kind of long lens for a portrait but I noticed that he was in good light with that active expression. Dogs can be a little hard to control and when I am closer they get too rambunctious. Cheers.
