Same sort of time span there Joe. :)
When we went to the fairground we always had toffee apples and candy floss (not sure but I think you call that cotton candy), strange that now I don't have a sweet tooth....
My memory of prunes was school dinners and the prunes were covered in lumpy custard, I hated them but strangely I like them now.

you have to understand I am going back almost 60 years...I forgot to mention the jelly prunes... no kidding...naturally as a kid I didn't understand the real value of them until recently...cheers

use to love these when a kid in The Bronx, NY. the 'jelly-man' would in addition to apples would have jelly covered marshmellows (also on a stick) too... nice shot...cheers
