I think I know the painting you´re talking about with distorted people on a beach painted in pastelcolours? Maybe not but that´s what comes to mind. I think your cropping works well excluding people around, so it´s only the ego and the sea and the sailship that symbolizes freedom.

Fantastic, Annemette! This reminds me of Edward Weston's beach nudes in which the perspective of the models' bodies was stretched and distorted. Really, really good. I think this would work really well cropped tighter as well... see what you think.

Hehehee . . . Love it Annemette! The placement of the boat is perfect. Legs, people soaking up sunlight . . . you can almost smell the suntan lotion . . . the whole image is almost erotic. Very warm and well done with the B&W. Ooooh. I'm all impressed again!! :)

Neat concept. Think it would be a little better with just feet or even just your toes showing. I think the legs are taking up too much of the shot though. I like the other people in the image as well.
