That's a great example to do things right... the silhouetted focus point really adds to the scene and gives the image more depth.

From the thumbnail it almost looked like an underwater scene. Your composition with the plant on the left is very effective and adds an interesting element to contrast the vibrant colours of the sky. Lovely shot. Congratulations on POD.

Oh Hugo! Your observations are fantastic! You make me look at my own images with new eyes.
By "tonal range/dynamic range" what do you suggest? Should I use Hue/Sat adjustment or would you suggest something else? I notice that your work has fantastic dynamic range. How do you do that? I've played around with Merge to HDR but it's very temperamental and getting the images to register correctly is a challenge (especially if there is any kind of movement in the shots).

Hi Rocky,
No need to stop, I guess.. your sckjyscapes are fantastic.
In this one, I particulary like the plants towering out above the horizon, initially hinting at a low point of view, but the reference with the horizon does counter that. It adds a nice, surprising element.
As to the tones, I think you could've gotten just a bit more out of it - although the contrast in colours between the yellowish cummulus clouds and the dominant cool blue cast is great, I think a bit more depth in tonal range / dynamic range would boost the impact in this phot by making it a bit more dramatic.
Nevertheless a good photo.
