Surely the people aleady posting wouldn't agree, but I think the top of the bowl, as it goes out of focus, seems almost to intrude in the photo like someone walking in front of the camera or waving when you take the shot, and so on. And so the subject of the photo seems a bit unclear. The right placement suggests that the dark rings are essential, but they seem almost incidental for the low contrast. And if a banded abstract were the subject, it would suggest cropping away, all around.
