About Historical background: Last winter's storms felled a large bay tree that went from upright to 5 huge prostate limbs spreading over a quarter acre. rather than removing it, which was impossible given the terrain, much of the tree was left in place to continue its growth after removing the burnable materials and limbs weighing against other trees, risking bringing them down with its massive size.
