FIRST of all...welcome to the 30D club Roberto, they are wonderful to work with.
This is a fabulous wildlife/nature shot my dear friend and taken with the optimum shutter speed that shows just the right amount of wing blur. The details are awesome in the bird's motionless body and the colour tones are beautiful throughout. Your dof is absolutely superb and creates a very pleasing blur to the background. Wonderful Bird shot the shutter speed capture clearly the body and the head but was slow enought to allow the appearance of action on the wings.

Good toy !
It was able to freeze that little speedy thing, but not so good for his wings, still to fast for any camera on Earth I think !
