About Hello, this is my first upload. I took this picture of the famous Liverpool skyline, and although one face seems a little overexposed, I could do nothing abou as there was a spotlight trained on it. Please feel free to comment, all advice welcome.

A little more sharpness and a bit of burning in and you would have a great image Anthony, that is if you're into that kinda stuff :) As already mentioned if you shoot a little earlier when there is still some colour in the sky, would be better.

Anthony,

This is a good shot but I think it could be done a little better. Try shooting a little earlier in the evening so the sky is not so dark. The shot looks a bit flat but this might be realted to being zoomed out to 200mm, maybe try a closer spot? I like the colors and the framing of the buildings.

Welcome to USEFILM!

Jeremy, I see from your profile that you hail from Kansas, so, heres the explanation of the shadow. Its not a shadow, its a second tower, ha ha :). The Liver Buildings are made up of two identical towers, sharing 4 clock faces. The overexposed tower has clocks on say North and West face, and the second tower, the shadow, has clocks on the East and South face. I believe the reason is simply that the residents can see the time no matter what side of the building you are on. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, and hope you enjoy my future postings too. Take care, have fun and keep snapping. Anthony

if you're printing it yourself (if it's film) then perhaps try burning in the faces of the hot buildings. I'm curious as to how the shadow of the tall building got into the left-hand side. With a little work, its a very nice shot. Welcome to Usefilm! (c:,'
