This is superb. When less is truly more, the process to arrive with such a quality product can be very complex. You nailed it.

Interesting and unusual shot Richard, beautiful composition. Looks like the lighting was hard to work with, well done!

Hello Richard,
Thank you for your look at my work. And that you were able to tell a platinum print when Carlo unloaded.....
You have posted two images of a similar scene. I like the second one better. It puts more of an enviornment within the story of your image. The first one (and my monitor is too contrasty) gives me no frames of reference.
Keep posting...I am curious to see more of your work. Critique some more of my platinums.
Will talk again,
Gary

Great image Richard, the balance is perfect, the composition excellent. I also like the one you took the next day especially the composition. A totally different feel to this first image.

Thanks for the nice words. I just signed on here and uploaded this as my first photo.
For the ones that are into technical details: * Hasselblad 500cm with 80mm standard zeiss lens, * Tmax 100 * Tripod
I'm still one my first 10-15 rolls of medium format film and trying to figure out how it all works (coming from an auto-everything-35mm-SLR world) so all constructive criticism on this and future postings are greatly appreciated..
For fun... the next day I went back to the same place...different light, water level, etc - and this little visitor walked into the frame :-)
