You give it the sense of being a normal street scene, yet it is boats and water. Not normal (most places it's not). A different time of day could improve the shadows on the left side. Maybe more, maybe less. Try different times to see what kind of work those shadows can do for you.

Lovely and really colorful photograph, Nicola. I can see that you had better weather in Venice than we had on the 30th of April. We stayed a few days in Codogne near Conegliano and the weather got better and better.

A beautiful and colourful canal shot of wonderful Venice my dear Nicola. I enjoyed a brief business/pleasure stay in that wonderful city in the Hotel Danielle (forgive my spelling) and one that I will never forget.

I feel colors are the strong point of this image as you've identified. It is beautiful but shooting it on an overcast day or a different time of the time when light is milder would bring out the colors even more. You are so lucky if you live here :-) If the previous two images are also of the same place, with these kind of vibrant colors, color would be a better choice than sepia IMO. btw, thanks for your recent comment.

Same canal I think Nicola, but now a totally different photo because of the colours. So you show us the big difference between B&W and colour.
I like the colours in this one, but also the B&W's you've posted before.
