I agree that leveling the horizon would be good. The image is out of balance. Another thing might be to shoot lower. For shots like this it can be sometimes good to get your camera low to (maybe a hand's breadth from) the ground. I do like this image, though.

This is a truely beautiful composition Nicola. The colours are gorgeous. I love the diagonal line out of the bottom L/H corner. I love too the multi toned colour of the sea and the chair and umberella awaiting an unseen bather. Well done to you, this is indeed a wonderful postcard from heaven. Very best wishes....Ray

your horizon is tilted and it destroys the balance and simplicity of your image. i think the scene is just too static since there are waves in the sea. open the umbrella and separate it from the chair. concept - A

Hi Nicola, a very appealing scene, although I find the counter clockwise tilt in the horizon rather distracting. Good composition, though, and a very scerene scene.
