Marcus, This one too is magnificent. I have relatives who live near Basel, who I visit every year, and I love the Alps. Incredibly scenery.
Thank you BTW for the kind comments on my photo. My photos go Brittney a shot at a local modeling agency who sent her to a professional photographer.
Thanks, Sven

Wow - thats beautiful Markus. The foreground trees and the slight mist in front of the mountain make this for me. Great depth of field, its so sharp I could almost be standing there with you.

Outstanding composition and details from the trees to the mountains. I love the blue tones of color and this makes the image seem as cold as it really must have been. Outstandin image and congratulations on the award, this one is one of the very best in my honest opinion.
Many compliments and congratulations.........Mike

Markus,
This is *stunning*! So often we see this ridge as sharp rock, but here, you've captured its' soft side. The trees in the foreground act as the perfect frame to a very powerful backdrop.
I bet seeing this with my own eyes some day will be amazing. You have done such a fantastic job of portraying that feeling in this photograph.
Well done! And a very well deserved SC award! Outstanding job!
cheers, -joel

Beautiful mountain scenery, Markus! Appears very peaceful, though with the snow being mostly on one side of the trees, I guess it must have been rather windy while it was snowing (or maybe sometime afterwards). Congrats on a well deserved award! Cheers, Gary

Ho, ho ! Congratulations Markus for this SC, and beside, this is a real beauty, definitely unique. I'm impressed by the sight, of course, but also by the atmosphere created by the low clouds and the beautiful sky.
I'm so happy to hear the good news about Christoph. Hand him our warm congrats, from Denyse and I.
I have been busy for a while, minding other forums, and now preparing for a little exhibit (it starts on Monday). With my fulltime two-fold job, it keeps me away from UF. Too bad though. Beside, we are all fine. Say a nice word too to Hedi and Katharina.

Very nice composition! The trees in the foreground and the layers of mountains conveys a sense of distance very well. The lack of sight of the ground (no matter it is intentional or not) makes me feel that the tallest mountain in the picture is unreachable. Feels like I am reading an epic adventure story.
