Excellent landscape with beautiful relfections! Fantastic detail. Just an incredible photo, beginning with the rocks going all the way back up to the sky. It seems to go on forever! Wonderful shot! Congratulations on Editor's Choice! Carolyn

I've tried twice to add a comment here, only to have my computer hang. Third time lucky? This is a highly creative landscape and well deserves its Editor's Choice award. Cramming the hills, the settlement, the clouds and even the sky up into that narrow area at the top is most unuusal. It opens up a large area for the sea, which is rendered to wonderfully, from the clear transparency in shore, through the clouds we can only see as reflections, to the more normal sea further from the shore. This is creative photography at its best, and not looking in the least gimmicky or contrived--just a really beautiful landscape. It goes straight into my favourites and I'm grateful to have the opportunity!

This is a very original landscape. Concentrating the hills, the buildings, the clouds and even the sky up into that narrow area at the top of the image, to open up a great space for the sea, is most creative. And the rendering of the sea is fascinating, too. From the transparent clarity at the shore, through the unusual reflections of the clouds we cannot see in the sky, to the more normal appearance further away from the shore, it's all so very well done. But it's not in the least gimmicky--it makes a really beautiful image. This is photography at its creative best, and it goes straight into my favourites. Thank you for making that possible!

I ADORE Tasmania! The shot is lovely, but when I stand back it seems a very solid 50/50 dividing line between grey bottom half, & coloured top. Its nice to keep the stones in, but could you have got lower & got more sky that way? I like it anyway!

Hi Kostas, i really like the way the cloud in the bottom makes it look almost like you are looking under water. Well done. Is this the river Derwent? If not, where? I really enjoyed Tasmania and will be back so always looking for good photo areas. Thanks for sharing. Steve

Kostas, I absolutely love the cloud reflections here. They give the water a surreal effect. The close detail in the foreground and the detail in the background give you a sense of vast open space. I love the depth of field and the sky too. Very well done. Congratulations.
