Thanks doyle... I most say that I preffer the original. I like the dark contrast which brings a nice mood, and cropping it I think takes away the panorama effect. But I always appreciate constructive critism...

Great subject matter. Overall, I'm wondering if the contrast isn't a bit too dark at the top and bottom both. I would also think about not putting the water dead center, but possibly frame it a bit to the left to add interest (rule of thirds). I attached an example of what I was referring to using your shot . . . Yellowstone has a lot of great subject matter.

Thanks for the comments guys... To Steve.. You can either use a neutral density grad filter, or as i've done just use photoshop to add a grad layer.

How do you make the sky so dark at the top but lighter toward the horizon . . . some kind of graduated filter?? Pretty shot.
