Here I aimed to capture the lines on the track and also the overhead electrics. I chose B&W as i thought it would make the image more powerful. Comments appreciated.
Hi Claude, Railways always catch my eye, they're fascinating as there's so much going on...
I think B&W is a good choice, but mainly because I don't think the colour version adds much.
The thing that bothers me a bit is the flare on top, followed by the contrast of the dark shadow under the bridge. As there's already a lot going on in this image with the lines created by the various poles and tracks, I think the bridge (and it's shadow) are more of a distraction than an addition.
I believe, that if you crop this photo just below the shadow of the bridge, it would have the largest impact, but that's just me....:) Good shot!
