Jerry's barn looks good silhouetted against the blustery sky. I like the flat lighting which creates such rich wood tones. The green of the tree frames nicely and also provides contrast to the wood textures. Eb

Hi Kathy, I have Photoshop CS2 and they have a feature called highligh-shadow and it works very well in a situation like this. You can control the amount of detail you want in the shadows and the highlights. You might try curves and see if that will work if you don't have CS 2 . Thanks Don.

What a wonderful barn this is Kathy my dear. Excellent clarity showing off bagloads of interesting details and superb wood tones. The sky looks moody and threatening, then you spy that little patch of beautiful pastel colours on the right. I love the overhanging foliage, a great inclusion. Well done to you. My very best wishes as always.....Ray

It looks like you lightened it up a bit, Don. What did you use to do that...possibly you lightened the shadows? It looks good. Thanks! And always feel free...I love these kinds of critiques! Kathy

That be a big barn,Kathy!...like the rough-hewn look to the wood, the branches in FG and the contrasting sky....i think this would be a stronger comp if next time you gave more room at top as looking kind of tight squeezed as is...is it interesting inside?...regards,gayle
(wet weather forecast for whole week down here and it has already arrived...yuck!)

Hi Kathy, It's great the way an image like this will bring back a rush of great memories from a child-hood. This one reminds me of the summers I spent up north. We used to have so much fun hanging around inside and outside of a barn owned by the local farmer. Andre
