This is an awsome accident! I love how it happened so naturally. I really like this shot. I would hang this on my wall.

There's a word for this particular technique. Accident. I was on the way home after shooting sunset at the Jefferson Memorial with my new camera. The lighting was interesting at this time of night, so I was experimenting with nonconventional tripods. (Also known as the ground). While in the middle of a 15 second exposure at F 4.8, a local news crew walked into the image and started moving around. I got annoyed and started moving the camera forgetting I had an open shutter. Hence the ghost figures and the streaks. It's an oops, but an interesting one. Thank you for commenting!

Interesting shot. Pretty good for not having a tripod. I'd like it better with a tripod, of course, but you can't always carry one around with you... . I like the mysterious-looking figures in the foreground and reflections off the wet street. I'm trying to figure out what could have made those interesting streaks. Did you jiggle the camera during part of the exposure and then hold it steady for the remainder?
