About Wasn't sure how much that residual line would show on other's monitors. Had it a bit darker then lightened, that's when the line showed up. It's actually a power line going from the telephone pole behind me to the church. Thanks for commenting on that. Got a chance to make it better. Thanks Martijn.

Thanks for the comments on the previous post, just had to get rid of the line better.
Thanks for looking.

Great work with colors MArk... very impressive. It's a weird combination: red-burning sky (we always make the connection between red-burn and hell) and a church in oreground. I don't know if you meant it, but anyway, it's a great capture!

best wishes,
ferran

In photoshop this would be +28 to the red in adjust hue/saturation, and lighten shadows is 9%. Also used levels to set the black and grey point. Black point was the grass area, and the steeple was my grey point.

Made some slight adjustments with the blue/cyan, but not as much as the reds. I was behind the church when the clouds were at full intensity, and was a bit late getting to the front, and just tried to get them to look like when I was in back of the church.

Thank you for the comment's Salvatore.

Based on the sky we had here yesterday I would say the colour here wasn't too far from naturally unnatural! The concept and colour are brilliant.

I would however have used PS or something to darken the church so it lost any detail and became a true silhouette.

Well I can't see any power line so you did a good job on that one. This is a breathtaking image. Well titled and shot from a perfect angle to get the sky in all its glory. A stunning image with gorgeous colours.

Cheers - Ann :)

It looks cool but fake......did this really happen or is this Heavy PS? You see, it appears to me that the church is too bright for such a bright background, more naturally, it would seem to me, that the church would be silhouetted if the sky was this bright. I must tell you though this shot is quite striking PS or not.
