hey Laurie, its been a while since i looked in your portfolio. some cracking additions of late. well done. I like the unorthodox composition, i think it works well IMHO. plus the gradient of colour in the b/g contrasts nice to the colour of the birds. happy NY mate! :)

Nice and sharp. I might experiment with the positioning of the birds in the frame. Placement at different points can infer different types of action.... landing, taking off, hovering, straight flight, etc. Their placement in this leads me to believe they're landing, but I don't see where they're landing. How you place them in the frame also is a way for you to emphasize what you want the viewer to take note of. I think stronger emphasis could be given with a little tweaking of your image. Hope the feedback helps.
