Thanks so much Marcus, I love the background and the noise reducation, I've got to learn how to do this! I knew my UF friends would help me here and you all did! Got some wonderful PS tips and I really appreciate it! And thanks for all your comments Marcus, I'm way behind(as usual lately) on commenting on everyone's pics but I WILL catch up! Obsession......and lovin it! The 1.4 teleconverter brings it closer and we all know that closer is better!! Yes, it is an extender and I think you'll be glad you got one, I use mine a lot!! And I love my lens, it's wonderful, a little heavy but that's o.k. I'll use it until I can't pick it up anymore! Darlene

This is not an easy one to put a sky to, Darlene, as there is nothing much left of the top of the bird's head. It's been burnt out so that it is pretty much the same colour (or, lack of it) as the 'sky'. However, the shot as it stands is superb! I shouldn't worry about the so-called 'lack of background'! Best regards, Chris

A killer image, Darlene...one of my favorites so far. Such power; those eyes, almost alien in their ferocity. Love it, with or without a background, though Rob's version is terrific.

I love your eagle shots! I am looking at the lens you use- but what is a 1.4TC? Does that mean the 1.4 extender? I need to get one of those- your bird shots really inspire me. Do you do these for a profession, or (like me) just an OBsession?

Great eagle shot Darlene A very nice job Rob did on the sky. Photoshop is not easy and time consuming to learn, but well worth it. Looking for tutorials on the internet helped me a lot.

I have a version but it's way over the top. I was just having so much fun. My friend told me tonight he thinks I'm drinking jet fuel, new meds whoa... Graham's is killer and it was such an easy fix. Rob's is grand and patriotic, it's great.

this series is great, no sky needed! :) With a little work you could add a sky from another photo. Maybe a dramatic wideangle sky with nice clouds. :)

If you dont already have one you might want to try a polarizer Filter. It helps so the sky isnt so washed out. It can make a big change in your photos.

Hi there! I don't know if you can tell...but I love clouds; always have. :) So I take a lot of pictures of them. So I just to one of those shots, opened it up, downloaded your shot, cut it out, pasted in my cloud shot, blew the size way, way up and then used a combination of the healing tool, clone stamp tool and the blur tool; the blur tool is very important to blend the two shot together with losing detail in from the original and presto, there you have it. You should see what can be done with the original full resolution files. :)

Rob, I love it!! How in the world do you do that? I've been trying to find out, looked in my books and on the internet and I have not succeeded! Is this a background that you had or did you create it? Whatever you did, I think it's wonderful.......now if I can just learn it, any tips will be appreciated! Darlene
