Hi Shirley, I knew that you had re-married and when you mentioned about your 'late husband' in the photograph I worried that it was your relatively new husband that had passed on. Pleased to read that you and Jim are still loved up and doing well.

Thank you Shirley, the wild garden is set alongside a very big lavender field. It is all part of a garden centre complete with a small restaurant.

Thank you, Ray. This was Bob, the man I was previously married to for 33 years. I am currently married to my childhood sweetheart, Jim, who is a custom saddle maker. Our families were always close. His Mom and mine were best friends. After Bob died, I did a lot of online dating and met some great guys as well as very weird ones. I didn't know that Jim's wife had also passed away. His sisters reconnected us on Facebook and Jim wasted no time in wooing me. :)

How lovely to hear from you, Ray. We are all getting older. I don't get around so well anymore, either. These fair shots were taken several years ago when I first moved to Texas to marry my childhood sweetheart. I was also surprised to hear from Nicole on here. It is good to see you are still 'clicking' Shirley, I had to give up some years ago as my mobility became worse and worse. Just heard from Nicole, out of the blue and it is so good that some of the old 'gang' are still involved.
I like this shot of a fairground with it's lovely evening tones and the message that Christmas isn't so very far away. Hope you are keeping well sweetie, very best wishes to you.

Love this one Nicole and somewhere in my files I have done some similar shots, maybe I should dig them out. I love the way the wave is frozen and the capture of the surfer suspended in the air with his board. An excellent shot, well done you. Best wishes, always.

I have often (in the past) tried to shoot waterlillies but never captured anything that I liked. This is a very good example, it is sharp, well detailed with lovely natural tones.

Thank you Nicole for your visit. It is lovely to hear from you as our history goes back a very long time. I have given up almost all photographic opportunities as my mobility these days is very poor. I maintain a simple little camera for taking shots of visiting family and nothing else. I do miss coming into this site but at 84 my pleasures are pretty simple.
