Very nice shot, to me it looks a slight bit overexposed, or it could be water spray maybe.

Thank you Cathy, it's such a beautiful location. Got there quite late in the afternoon, overcast day, peak wet season. Was lucky that the light was low enough that I could do an extended exposure. The water was running hard and fast, there had been substantial rainfall in the region in the previous 2 weeks.

Hello Winston, love this shot!
I always marvel at how similar shots turn up on each page of usefilm. I have just returned from Cairns yesterday where I had a go at slow shutter speeds and running water. Unfortunately I was not able to produce the high level of success that you have managed in this image. Was the water running fast?
I love the smooth dreamy feel of the water, and the lush green of the vegetation. We are heavily in drought here in the Central West of NSW, we thoroughly enjoyed the damp moistness of FNQ. Great holiday destination, hey! CC

Nice shot, great details and colours, it looks like paradise. One thing I would say though is be careful to keep the horizon level in this type of shot

I guess it all comes down to differing opinions.
I can live with the mountains - they look fine to me. However, I can never live with water that looks like is going uphill. :)

Thanks Phil, yes, it was a beautiful day, stunning beach. Was one of not many nice days I had up there, so many were overcast and rainy.
I understand what you were trying to do with the rotation, but I played with that as well, it's a strange perspective issue as the beach curves around that gives the impression that the horizon isn't level. If you look in your edit though, the mountain range is now out of alignment.

Mate, I love this scene - I want to go there, now! :)) Beautiful colours - so peaceful and serene!
IMHO, it needs to be rotated a little to the left. I had a fiddle with it - what do you think?

You have the nice magic light coming in on the left through the clouds.
