WOW!!! How bizarre! How the heck does it defy gravity that way? I'm thinking there must be some sort of support beam that goes vertically all the way up. It's mind boggling. It adds to the mystery by having shot it at night...and in fog too. No doubt about what you find to photograph Doc. A most unusual sight.

Cheers - Ann

An interesting shot Doc with striking blues. It is soft but it adds ambience to the evening. Nice lighting and I like the composition. A nice night scene.

Cheers - Ann

Thanks for the post Jim! The church isn't really a church, its an art installation that looks like a church. Perhaps a Vancouverite could elaborate more.

I'd like this shot even if the church was not upside down. The fog and the colors make for real interest. My only question is... how the heck did the church end up that way?

Thanks for the input Joe. I actually framed the shot on an angle. It has more to do with my vantage point and the scope of the landscape than anything else. However, you may be right about the softness being a result of the re-sizing process. the original is quite a bit sharper. I don't mind the softness too much though. Somehow it feels "duskier" (if that's a word).

Thanks Branimir! I don't really re-work shots this much, but I'm trying to branch out a bit. I appreciate the support.

I love the color and note that you choose the perfect time of day to make this image. A couple critical comments, first it is tilted to the right; and second it looks soft. The softness might be the reduction in file size or it may be no tripod.

Doc...good to see you back. I was just in your portfolio only minutes ago but found no new work until I received a notification email with your comment to my work. Nice to see some new postings from you.

I love this one. Always enjoy wintery shots and this one is quite the heavy collection of snowfall. Very well exposed with some nice splashes of light shining onto it. Great shot Doc.

Thanks you also for dropping by my Tree image and for your kind words.

Cheers - Ann

A most unusual image Darren. You have certainly captured a moody and eerie feel here with the fog. Good sense of scale and the shadow cast is strange indeed. It seems to be just floating out there but very effective. Also the way the land goes around the corner adds to the surreal effect so you've caprured a number of interesting elements here. Nice work and great shot.

I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Darren.

Cheers - Ann

Colours composition everything works...I might tighten up the contrast a wee bit and focus the edges a lil for my taste...but what do I know...KILLER SHOT
