Love the deep red and the intense texture of the sand, my preference would be to crop some of the sky out, doesn't add much to the other elements. Did you use filter or software to get the red?

chào anh!- salam dear John,
you could capture the old neighborhood around Grand Bazar good but if you arranged your photo elements in the right bottom of the frame and show depth of alley more, you would get a better result(that's the a simplest solution : while taking foto, you must shift yourself in the middle of frame )

by the way, are you now in Tehran , I mean by this time,If yes ,I will be glad to guide you to the beautiful lanscapes of Tehran.

like this photo, alot of darkness add to it with the rectangular area of light and the way she looks to the camera.
still my eyes cant judge the DOF in the lightened area, is there some blur in it?
