Neat shot - unusual perspective. Really like the lights and shadows in this shot - coupled with the right side angles and the water line on the left pier columns you have a great 'X' shaped superinposed on the rectangular openings of the pier. Nice action on the waves too.

Excellent, well saturated color Sam. You hit the lighthouse and the perfect time. Exposure is good . . . leaving detail in the dark cliffs, and giving the feel of dusk at the Coast Guard base. If you'd have given more notice I could have made some calls and ordered up some clouds for you! :P

(We had a great time buddy . . . just so you know, the Mount Rushmore shot was better than this. LoL!)

Hi Sam,
This is truly the work of a genius and a master piece.
Great idea to share this magnificent pic on a pano.
I only dream of the day when I can do landscapes like yours.
Thanks for your recent comment my friend and keep sharing your fantastic shots with the international photo community.

BTW, I will save it under my favorites for future references.

Warm regards my friend.

Yamil

Very, very nice colors and composition. Isn't it interesting how the sun can some times look like an egg?

It was super nice that a fellow photographer took some time to show you and Kim around. Isn't it nice to be able to put faces to names?

Wonderful Sam, you did a great job of exposing the water while not blowing out the sun and sky,

Hey Brother, Thanks for the time this weekend!!! Kim and I REALLY had a great time. When I get a second I will email you the Raw file and see what you can do with this shot. I hated the frame as well! I don't know why I placed it around it, oh well to late know to undo it....lol

Best Regards
Sam!!!

First . . . AWESOME shutter speed (1 sec)! I happen to think the color enhancement MAKES good scenery photos and don't sense oversaturation. The blowout on the slow shutter is a toughie . . . particularly given the range. Still . . . masking them would perfect this. OR . . . adjust RAW image in layers . . . and convert to HDR through layers and selective exposure settings!

Like AJ . . . a big FAT Yech to the Frame. 7 for the image is a given, though. I would give my eye-teeth to get this in RAW and compose it as an HDR image! Never been here . . . YET.

Impressive!

Doyle I <~~~~~
