Very good color .. nicely sharp shot.. But Dorival , I feel the carnivals bring fun , laughter and joy to the lives of common people.. Which is missing in the shot. Had it been a wide-angle shot covering peoples mood in symphony with the effigy you have shown .. would more life to this shot.
Last but not the least .. this is never a judgment.. its is my very own feelings.

I liked it a lot .. specifically you have darkened the area outside the face .. and it is adding interesting characteristics to the whole composition.
