It probably would work better without patterns on back, however, its all I have. (the only thing that was big enough to fit) The white things on bottom are actually pillow cases and the 'drape' in back is a table cloth. The lighting for this was just the hanging lights above my kithen table. Thanks for the comments

Kathryn : thanks a bunch for your comment. This was some morning frost that had collected some of the glass on my porch door. I used my digital camera to capture it and to get extremly close up I used a reversed film lens on top of my digital camera lens and the light coming from the porch lit up the flakes and the blue in the back is totally unedited and it is from the sky. Thats pretty much it.

Since you asked:
The image looks extremly flat, it is also boring as it is, it may be an interesting subject from various other angles or with some interesting lighting, however, the flash you used really makes the image flat. It looks crooked as well, but maybe im seeing things. Try something different, your composition is boring, the colors are dull, the lighting is flat and quite wretched and this looks like you've taken it with a disposable camera. No hard feelings.

I have no idea why, but I love this picture. However, I have one gripe, look at the skull... right behing the skull is an are of black that makes it look like its superimposed... is it? If it is.. it was done very well, except for that small place.. however if it is not, whaatever, its still a cool photo, I think.

Jim, thanks for your comment, you're right. In the photo, I had a friend dump this mapel syrup into a glass full of water. The lighting was very poor, I dont really have anything like a studio, I used a flashlight, once again, and I did some work in photoshop with getting rid of the reflections and such, and the backround was done in photoshop too. Thanks again.

Wow, your portfolio has a... feel to it. It's pretty destinct I think. I like your images, the framing of them, the characters in them, your subjects, they're all really neat. Cool work you've got.

For some reason I like this alot. I dont know why, I guess it is the composition. But, one gripe... If the suitcases were placed on top of another surface, perhaps a brick walkway or concrete, something with a nice texture and some different tones for the picture... instead of this boring carpet, perhaps to give it the feel that someone actually is leaving (train station in the background or something) i think that would make an even more killer photo than the one you have here already! Those suitcases are super.

Was this a candid photo? It's framed so greatly, that seems very hard to believe, I like it alot.
