This is the sort of shot that needs maximum DOP. Use of a tripod with a slower ISO film would problably bring to life. I like the symmetry. Your friend, Andree

Wonderful capture. The eyes are very powerful. Works very well with the hide and seek behavior of "the cat". Great shot. Andree

You've captured a wonderful expression on his/her face. Nice tonal range and tight composition. I like the "noise" version better. Again, maybe you could clone out the distracting wire. I've played with it and increased the PS effect. Hope you don't mind. Have a great day. Andree

I love your cat. Wonderful capture of his eyes. You may want to clone out the light section at the bottom right. It would keep the viewer fixed on his/her beautiful eyes. Your friend, Andree

I feel this is very soft and the grey tones really don't add to this shot...Sorry, MHO only

That lens artifacting stuff was used often in the sixties and seventies. Ever see "Easy Rider"? It seems to work here, however. It adds a sense of mystery and alienation to what would otherwise be an average snapshot. Is there a spiritual reference here? It seems so...

Thank you Michele for all of your comments! Yes I do believe that PS can be dangerously addictive. I'll try to repost the unedited version of this shot at a later date.

Her name is Spaz (short for spastic, and she earned that name). She and her sister (see porfolio) are very energetic and loveing cats. They are my best friends in the world.

Hi Shawn.....I commented in detail on your tulip photo the other day. I have to say I really like the unedited shot better here, but PS is so much fun isn't it ??

Beautiful kitty.....what is her/his name ??

Thanks AJ for your comments. Yes, I added the grain in PS for effect, though, it was more of an excuse for me to play around in PS since it is new to me, than anything else. Let me know if you like the unedited version any better.

Thanks again for your comments. Every little bit counts!

Not sure. Have you edited this image? Basically, I think the pose is great. But there seems to be lots of noise and lack of detail, possibly due to scanning? Hope this is constructive...

It's actually not a composite with no PS involved. It's the real deal. I'm still playing with PS and trying to learn it though, if you have any resources to point me to.

Thanks for the comment!
