I have been a fan of Ansel since I saw my first mono Saguaro photograph as a young teenager having just moved to Arizona. I learned then the most common thread of his greatest photographs...the weather.
Now that I have my new camera I can't wait for monsoon season!

Scott,
You couldn't have picked a better landscape photographer to emulate.
Here in Toronto, leading out of Union Station train station towards the Skydome, is an Ansel Adams display. The reproductions are up about 12 feet from the ground and are quite large. People stop and stare at them every day. They are a wonderful contrast to the otherwise industrial look of the area. I believe they have a great calming effect on the busy commuters.

I love the mornings around a full Moon when it sets as the Sun rises. That first soft, gentle light of the Sun is so pretty. My Grandmother always used to tell us that on Easter morning, if you watched the sunrise, you could see it dance.
