not important how you take pictures, but what you take & the feeling (soul) that you put into the camera. You cant always learn the technique..but feeling, soul, etc?.
About photo: very nice color, contrast & gamma
good feeling & beautiful subject congratulation

Beautiful portrait! If I may make one suggestion...I think the photo would be better without the shrubbery in the background. You might want to try cloning just to see.
She is very beautiful and you caught her perfectly.

I think your little cousin is handsome and very sweet. I like the tilt of his head and how it seems to go with the slope of the hill. Lovely vigrant colours.
