Pankaj,
This is a definite improvement, composition-wise. The rock is still there, but now in its entirety and as part of the image, not just poking in from the outside.
I agree with George about the black "border" at the bottom --- not entirely sure why it is there.
I also agree with George regarding contrast, and I would definitely try to increase that digitally, either throughout or just for the background.

Wonderful Photograph Pankaj, Great colors and clarity and Composition.
Thanks for sharing? Thanks for the wonderful comment on my Photograph. I cheat on writing all the specs... I have a word DOC with the specs that are important and just change the differences. Then I just cut and Paste. It also helps with spell check in word... The data on the type of flower is research on the WEB and pasted in. I know there are alot of people (like yourself) who may never see some of these flowers. GOD Bless? Peter Daniel

Hye George!
I would agree with most part of the critique you have given (coz u mentioned a different scenario where there are actually lots of possibilities) but i am not sure if you realized it was an outdoor shot where my effort was to shot in as in situation...i got myself stuck in a very classic situation where you have got both black and white in the same frame and with equal visual space also....(notice the centre of the mushroom, which is almost white). Invariably either white gets underexposed or black gets overexposed..had i just taken a close up would still had-2 been easier for me to accomplish what you are mentionning...and accomplish i did in another frame whose crop i already did post here..
I don't know of a way by which i could have taken this picture in any different way(though this doesn't holds true for DOF)....
regards Pankaj P.s.That black border was a last min. thing and i was actually quite unsure about it's usefulness...thanx for clearing my mind

This is a fine composition of a very interesting subject well placed in its surroundings. The tonalities, though, are a bit flat. The mushroom needs a bit more emphasis. If you were setting up this shot in a studio, you would probaly spotlight the mushroom and give it stronger sharpness and contrast--and perhaps even a different, contrasting, color for the ground. The black border on the bottom is a minor distraction, too. That's the best I can do . . . (wink) . . . but it is really a very nice still-life as you have presented it here. Best regards, --George BTW--I'm leaving for a long week-end. I'll be back on Monday . . .

Beautiful details and textures, Pankaj! A lovely photo.
Only sugestion here is to re-position so that the rock is not in the frame. I am finding that its presence is creating a slight distraction...

Pankaj,
Nice detail shot. Interesting ornaments. Perhaps you could re-arrange them a bit so that the sun pendant is not obscured by the other necklace. Also, I'd think about removing extraneous distractions, such as the t-shirt and the jacket visible at the top.

Hye Bikas!
thanx for your generous comments...i'm sorry for the confusion..As i write reasonable commentary's whereever possible i am not left with much time as to correctly fill in all the technical details and anyway since i am using digital camera invariably some post processing is involved which anyway renders the technical information to be an approximation. So at the end what i care most about is to get the image uploaded and write a little note in the about section.

Hi Pajkaj,
Very nice portfolio. B & W's are beautiful. Panoramic views are exceelnt, meanwhile you have changed your camera, i see. This image is excellent in one word. Very nicely seen and neatly taken. But how could you managed a normal like effect with a 10.5 mm fishey lens for this image!! Anyway, very impressive.
Best wishes, Yours,
Bikas

Angelo, i carry more respect for you as a person than an artist now.
You have the courage to be honest and you amply feel for people you associate with. Well, i can understand what you have said below and i feel nice that though in a limited way but i still would be associated with a gentleman like you who knows his way around the world; and who is though simple in the way he feels and thinks but has enough tact to say difficult things in a way that otherwise may hurt people.
Looking forward to your next visit on my page and you don't need to hurry yourself for that, i shall wait.
Best Wishes Pankaj
