Very unique Evelyn, love the way you put plant over edge of frame, and B/W is nice. Thanx for comments my orchids.

Hi Evelyn,
I think there is more mood in the B&W. When you removed the colors, other aspects of the photograph stand out. The shape, lighting, contrast, texture and tone have become the dominant elements. I wonder what it would look like on a purely black bacground - no frame lines.

Hi Evelyn, yes I do like the cropped version. Sometimes it is hard to crop out something that looks good. When I look at a picture I let me eyes do the work. If they keep getting drawn to an area that is not the center of interest then as a rule you have to do something with that part of the picture, either darken, lighten or crop. Just my way of seeing things. Don.

Thanks Deb -- It is not a far stretch because everyone tries things in B&W and sepia tones but it seemed to make "weeds" special somehow Thanks for your responsive reply to my pic.

YES, Don -- I had a cropped version in front of me and liked it too -- but thought the composition might be slightly better with the one I posted -- maybe not. Here it is -- what do you think? It is so hard to edit "good stuff" out, isn't it? Thanks for your comment and suggestion!

Evelyn - Thank you for uploading the color photo. It is beautiful - but for whatever reason - the black and white has more impact - almost unworldly. Love them both. Jan
