Much more dramatic! You made it positively glow! It is more artsy and less a recording of nature. Thanks for your input and the time you took to work with it.

I love this - wish I had your eyes. I love the color of these flowers so I would do a little manipulation to pull it out since the photo looks like a mid-day shot with some hot sun on it that washes them out.
But again, this is a great shot (maybe you are just too used to it?). I attached my enhanced version below...

Evelyn, this is a fabulous close up of a flower! Keep on with these and you'll be scooping all the awards soon!

Beatiful detail and colours. You've done a great job of capturing the texture of the flower petals and the detail of the veins is superb. The use of a dark background helps bring the colours to the fore wonderfully! Well done!

I don't think it's odd... I think it's very creative. I like what you have done with mixing the two images. Tara

I work in standard Photoshop and the lighting options are sophisticated but I have not found where you can color tint the light. I do admire how you handle it. Thanks for sharing!!!

Ehhhhhhhhh...golden light??
Hm..
In paint Shop Pro you can work with illumination lights..and I like to use that!! I work in layers...so often I got 2 different lights in the pictures...
I'm not sure that what makes it golden though...got to think about that!!!!
Which program do you use???

Hi Evelyn...
I think that good photos must be showed just as it is...in all it's beauty...
On the other hand...you have a great shot to work with later on. Perhaps one day you'll see what to make of it..and I'm looking forward for that!!
Thanks for sharing this wonder..

Hugs

Thanks Amy! I must be feeling lazy tonight to let it go without paint effects or something! -- as you know I have never posted anything till tonight that actually looks realistic. They were ALL excellent photos to start with ;-D

What is a beautiful photo! I love the texture of the leaves, and lovely little curl of fern. Pristine is an excellent name for this lovely vignette. Amy

Hi Fabrizio,
Thanks for your interest and comments. I am not sure how to do the sepia in PhotoShop -- are these the right colors? What do you think?

Excellent composition, love the sharp scissor like shapes of the ferns against the more delicate gentle petals of the flowers as well as The light and shade

Clean and sharp. As simple as flowers, as beautiful as them. I like the leaves in the top right corner, passing through two flowers. I was wondering how this would look like in sepia.

Ev, I like the crackled rose very much, and the round shape is fine - don't like the placemat in the background though. Nice yellow rose, in Texas! Amy

Ev, when I first saw it I thought the iris was surfacing in a pool of water! The iris in the background look like dreams, or echos. I like the idea... colors here are nice too. Amy

It's really excellent thanks for sharing the secret. I like it round. I might have tried to cut the round out and give it a solid surrounding. Very clever.

Ah well -- the secret to the crackled finish is a double exposure with a picture I took of a plate that had that texture. I liked the round framing of the plate as well as its highlights and shading on the flower pic. It is proving to be a little controversial so I am happy to hear you liked it so well. Thanks!

I like this cracked look. How dod you make that???? :-/
I don't think I would have chosen the round-thing..but anyway..it's a great image. The rose is gorgeous...and the work is perfect..

Kind regards
