The contrast between the dark, bleak winter and the beauty of the leaves is really dramatic. The solid dark near the bottom changing to airy light at the top adds to the mood. Lovely picture. Mary

Excellent composition but somehow i guess the colour of the sky is alittle light. Did you use a polariser, if not this will help to enhance the colour and the formation of the cloud. No offence and just a comment!
